Reverse Osmosis Systems

-It is a membrane technology and is the process of removing the Anion and Cation ions in the water by passing them through a semi-permeable membrane using osmotic pressure.

-In reverse osmosis devices, raw water is passed through membrane filters and 90-99% of the total dissolved solids in the raw water can be removed.

-Semi-permeable membranes allow only pure water to pass, thus removing organic and inorganic substances, dissolved salts, heavy metals, viruses and bacteria from the water.

- The reverse osmosis process is always operated in cross-flow mode to avoid sedimentation problems on the membrane surface.
